Ignore what I say

Reading time: 2 - 2 minutes

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

When I complain against Allah, ignore what I say. When I tell you things are hard, ignore what I say. When I tell you life’s a struggle, ignore what I say. When I whine on and on that nothing goes right, ignore what I say. When I tell you it hurts, ignore what I say.

It is hard. You do struggle. Things don’t go right. And yes, it hurts.

But then it’s easy, and I never say. Life’s wonderful, and I never say. Everything runs smoothly, and I never say. The pain melts away - everything becomes beautiful, amazing, sweet, refeshing, invigorating - you love being alive again. Yet, I never say.

For everything that goes wrong, a thousand things must go right. But we don’t look hard enough to see them. We don’t want to be grateful, so we don’t look to the blessings. We don’t like to give thanks, so we don’t thank Him for the mercies. But the blessings and mercies are abundant, and our gratitude non-existent. So it is not that He withholds, it’s just that we look with the selfish eye.

For everything I do say, there’s a whole lot I never say. It’s what I never say that I should say, and what I do say, I shouldn’t say.

So the next time I complain against Allah and His Decree - ignore what I say.

And Allah is the Possessor of great bounties.

And praise is for Allah [swt] Alone.
