“The Events of the End” by Shaykh Muhammad Hassan

All praise is due to Allaah. We praise Him, we seek His aid, and we seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evils of our souls and from the evils of our actions. Indeed, whomsoever Allaah guides, there is none to misguide him. And whomsoever Allaah leaves to go astray, there is none who can misguide him. I bear witness that there in no deity worthy of being worshipped except Allaah, having no partners. And I bear witness that Muhammad, is His slave, the Chosen One amongst His creation, and His beloved Prophet and the seal of the Messengers.

May Allaah grant you all success, O dear honourable brothers and sisters. May you be well, may your actions and deeds be well, and may you be granted an abode in Paradise. Aameen.
The Islamic Society of City University will be holding a wonderful heartwarming, mind changing series everyday for the next month. The series is entitled, “The Events of the End,” and is a new scientific and methodical series, that combines scientific consolidation, education, methodology and a preaching method delivered by none other than our respected and beloved Teacher and Scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Hassan (may Allaah preserve him and be pleased with him, Aameen).
Although this series will be presented to all, it will pose a great and immense benefit in particular to the Muslims. For the Shaykh (may Allaah preserve him and be pleased with him, Aameen) will not approach this serious topic for general knowledge, or discuss superficial shallow information which deals only with words with no actions and real conditions. No. Rather, the aim and objective of this series is to urge the brothers and the sisters to work righteous deeds that draw us nearer to Allaah, Glorified and Exalted be He, based on knowledge from the Qur’aan and Sunnah. This is because the present phase of life, the worldy life, especially during a time of trial and tribulation, desires and temptations of the Christmas holidays, requires our awareness of the events of the end of the world.
There is no better topic that can soften our hearts, water our eyes except to strengthen our belief in the Hereafter, in the related events of the Smaller signs and the Greater Signs of the Day of Resurrection and in all the trials and events preceding that Day. For believing in that Day is one of the integrals of the belief in Allaah, Glorfied and Exalted be He. Hence, our Shaykh (may Allaah preserve him and be pleased with him, Aameen), will tackle one of the integrals of faith without which one’s faith is void, which is the belief of the Last Day.
I urge you all, O brothers and sisters in Islaam, to gather together everyday at 9pm, from Monday the 21st of December to Monday the 18th of January, to share a great and blessed hour of obedience towards Allaah. Let the words of Allaah and His Messenger penetrate and soften our hearts and change our minds at a time when the majority of the people will be dominated by worldy avidity and craving, when most people are negligent of the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth, when sins are numerous, when vice increases, and the fear of Allaah, the Knower of the Unseen, Glorified and Exalted be He decreases. Let us sit behind our PC monitors, walking, running towards the Mercy of Allaah, the Merciful, the One who Bestows His Mercy at a time where we could be watching the Christmas movies on TV, or partying losing all sense and reality of the life of this world. Join us as we discuss and taste the events that take place at the time of Death, the Agonies of Death, the Corpse, the Horrors and the Punishment of the Grave, the Beginning of the Smaller Signs, the Smaller Signs, the Major Signs, the Smoke, the Dajjaal, the Beast, the Sun rising from the West, the descent of Jesus the son of Mary, Gog and Magog, the Three Land-Slides, the Fire, the Final Gathering and then the Day of Judgement and the final destination.
We supplicate to Allaah with His Glorious Names and Sublime Attributes to make this series beneficial, sincere and successful, and to make it a motivation for us. We pray to Allaah, the Exalted, the Almighty, to safeguard all of us against the trials and afflictions, the apparent and the hidden ones, and to accept our righteous deeds, for He is the Lord Who has power over everything. And may Allaah send peace and blessings upon His slave and the seal of the Prophets and Messenger, Muhammad the son of ‘Abdullaah.

How will we watch the series inshaAllaah, will it be posted on the website?

Yes. It will be posted up on the website everyday at 9pm inshaAllaah.
We also encourage brothers and sisters to take notes on every lesson and post them before the next episode is aired. Students can then discuss and ask questions regarding each episode inshaAllaah.
I assure all the brothers and sisters, this series is a wonderful series delievered by a truly amazing Scholar (may Allaah preserve him and be pleased with him, Aameen). Not only will we learn the Signs of the Day of Judgement, but the Shaykh (may Allaah preserve him and be pleased with him, Aameen) will touch upon and explain many key principles and foundations regarding the deen, for he is someone that relates to the mind and the heart. will the post still be there after 9 or would it go
The programme will start automatically at 9pm inshaAllaah. Students should keep refreshing their pages until it starts. After the completion of the programme the episode will be stored on CityISoc iPlayer for the next seven days. Students will be able to automatically pick up from where they have left off and revise points that were slightly unclear. There will be a small exam after all 28 episodes with the winner winning an incredible prize!
Errm, speaking of prizes, from what i hear, there was suppose to be a winner for a digital Qur’aan in regards to siging up to the Islaamic Society. Is this only going to take place after the 300 target is reached?
