Whoever Angers Faatimah…

[The True Story]

Classic argument used by the rejectionist shia - the innovators, that the messenger of Allaah sallaAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said as reported by al-Bukhaaree, “Faatimah is part of me and whoever angers her angers me”.

They actually use it to fuel their fabricated lies against the noble companions of the prophet sallaAllaahu ‘alayhum wa sallam. For example against Aboo Bakr as-Siddeeq and ‘Umar al-Farooq, radiAllaahu ‘anhuma.

What is the story behind this hadeeth? Did it come out of nowhere or did somebody do something to make Faatimah angry and thus the Prophet’s saying?

Let’s examine the hadeeth in full…

al-Miswar ibn Makhramah said: ‘Alee proposed to the daughter of Aboo Jahl. When Faatimah heard of that she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said to him: Your people are saying that you do not get angry for the sake of your daughters, and ‘Alee is going to marry the daughter of Aboo Jahl. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood up and I heard him when he recited the shahaadah, then he said: “I gave a daughter of mine in marriage to Aboo’l-‘Aas ibn al-Rabee’, and when he spoke he told me the truth. Faatimah bint Muhammad is a part of me, and I do not like for her to be hurt. By Allaah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allaah and the daughter of the enemy of Allaah will not be joined together as wives of one man.” So ‘Alee abandoned that proposal.
[al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]

According to a version narrated by al-Bukhaaree: “Faatimah is part of me and whoever angers her angers me.”

‘Alee radiAllaahu ‘anhu decided to get married again, but he chose for himself the daughter of the enemy of Allaah, Aboo Jahl. So this made Faatimah radiAllaahu ‘anha angry at ‘Alee! Then the news reached her father, the messenger of Allaah sallaAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and in response to the sadness of his daughter, he said (in reference to ‘Alee and his proposal to marry the daughter of Aboo Jahl) that whoever makes her angry, actually angers him. If someone made your daughter upset, wouldn’t you get upset with them?

‘Alee radiAllaahu ‘anhu, the noble companion of the prophet sallaAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, the hater of grave worshippers, innovators and mushrikeen, then abandoned the proposal due to the disapproval of the Prophet sallaAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

This also shows the not-so-infallibility of ‘Alee, since he did make a mistake by proposing to the daughter of Aboo Jahl. For a person attributed with the knowledge of the exact hour of his death (of course this is a concocted lie by the shia), didn’t he know that this simple action of his was going to cause so much controversy?

“The Imaam knows his Hour of death and his death is in his control.”
[Usool Al-Kaafi, Vol. No. 1, Page No. 258]

You don’t hear this part of the story from the tall-tale preachers of grave worship now, do you?

So next time you hear a raafidah quote to you a portion of the hadeeth, let them know of ‘Alee’s wish to marry another wife when Faatimah was alive and that this hadeeth was originally about ‘Alee himself.

Let’s summarize what we learnt:

  1. ‘Alee was not infallible and made mistakes.
  2. ‘Alee made Faatimah angry.
  3. ‘Alee was a noble companion, obedient to the wishes of the messenger of Allaah.
  4. ‘Alee was the reason behind this hadeeth.
  5. Shias believe in crazy stuff, like their Imaams having knowledge of the unseen!
  6. Shias are liars, and they decieve Muslims by quoting half a hadeeth.
  7. When the whole hadeeth is quoted to the shia, they will reply, “O, we don’t believe in Bukhaaree anyways!”
  8. Try and experiment with ‘Point 7′ for yourself!

Did you come across this treacherous argument before?
