Islam Awareness Week ‘10
[From Darkness into Light]
It’s baaack!
The Events
- Monday 1st of March ‘10 [Similarities and Differences between Islam and Christianity]
This event is particularly for the Christians to come and learn about how the Muslims view their religion, the status of Jesus ‘alayhi’s-salaam (peace be upon him) in Islam, and where Islam and Christianity meets, and where they depart.
- Tuesday 2nd of March ‘10 [Allah the Lord of the Worlds]
Who is your Creator? Did you create yourself or were you created out of nothing?
The big question answered!
- Thursday 4th of March ‘10 [The Prophet's Family in Light of Qur'an and Sunnah]
What is the status of the Prophet’s family in Islam? Are there any conflicting views with regards to them? Is there any possiblity of reconciliation?
- Monday 8th of March ‘10 [A Religion of Principles]
No, you are not seeing doubles! This is a bonus event to be held just a couple of days after Islam Awareness Week, clearing out misconceptions about Islam portrayed by defeatist Muslims, and stating the firm principles upon which Islam was founded and continues to flourish.

bismillahir rahmaanir raheem
salaamu’alaikum wa rahmatullah
somethin’ to mull over:
there never anything specifically talking about the prophet [saw].
reviving the sunnah is a strong concept in this isoc masha’allah tabarak’allah, studying and learning about the deen is strongly reinforced…but i can’t help but notice the lack of focus [in events] on the prophet saw himself. who was he? what was his status? what was his character like? how was his conduct with the people? what made the people love him so? what is the importance of holding to the sunnah? why?? nothing, after speaking about Allah, nothing makes more sense than to spend your time concentrating on His Messenger [saw]…especially living in a time where the people seek to slander and belittle him in every way possible.
it is my humble opnion that there should be atleast one, HUGE, event in this week focussing on the prophet [saw] himself, may allah grant us his intercession and company, ameen ya rabb.
what better way to make the people more islamically aware?
and allah [swt] knows best.

Wa Jazakumullaahu Khayran
as-salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah,
If recordings get messed up after being saved in the recorder, then there is nothing we can do to prevent it.
Apologies if the above request came across as rude, by Allaah, that was not my intention. May Allaah reward all the brothers for their hard work and striving, aameen.
Was there no pictures taken for this week?
Not sure… will check inshaa’Allaah.
As for DEW, there were a lot of pictures, maashaa’Allaah, but the flippingbook gallery thing is not working for some reason, when uploading etc. … so those will be put up using another plugin inshaa’Allaah.
